From the Times of 18 October 2014: MONTGOMERY Caroline died peacefully, of All Stretton, Shropshire. Wife of Henry, Mother of Alexa, Flora and Phoebe, and a friend of many, at home on October 14th 2014. Thanksgiving service at St Laurence's Church Stretton on Friday October 24th at 2pm. Colourful clothes. No flowers. Donations to be made to Severn Hospice, Enquiries to A S Morris & Son, F/D Church Stretton.
She was d of (George) Richard ODEY (1929-93) of Hotham Hall, York and Janet C CARVER (b 1934 reg Q3 Yorkshire). She m 1982 Hon Henry David MONTGOMERY (b 1954) only son and heir of 2nd Viscount MONTGOMERY of ALAMEIN (b 1928) and his 1st w Mary Raymond (b 1928) d of Sir Charles CONNELL (1900-72) and Audrey Menzies RAYMOND (1904-87). They had three daus as above. Assuming her husband succeeds his father, he will be the last viscount of his line.
