He was the son of Maj Richard Claude SAMPSON (1916-2000) and (m 1947) Rosemary Anne COLLINGRIDGE (1924-2022).  He m 1985 (div 2008) Mariana Victoria Magdalen (Mrs Marcus Heywood) b 1956 dau of Francis Arthur Michael BRAY DSC (d 2004) and (m 1954, div 1975) Victoria [Tora] SEELY (1933-2026) dau of Sir Victor Basil John Seely, 4th Baronet by his 2nd m.

Humphrey and Caspar were mentioned as great-grandchildren in Tora Bray's death notice earlier this year so this death notice narrows them down to this branch of the family (therefore not in remainder).  Scarlett must presumably have been born in the last couple of months.  Only Hugo is shown as m in DPB online - he is stated to be the father of Amelie
