Georgina Kennard, Lady Kennard (17 October 1919 - 28 April 2011), was
the mother of Alexandra Hamilton, Duchess of Abercorn, and Natalia
Grosvenor, Duchess of Westminster. She was also an aunt of Maralyn
Ramsay, Countess of Dalhousie, a sister of Myra Alice Wernher, Lady
Buller, and a first cousin once removed of George Mountbatten, 4th
Marquess of Milford Haven.

Lady Kennard was born Georgina Wernher in Edinburgh, Scotland, on 17
October 1919 to Sir Harold Augustus Wernher, 3rd Bt., and Countess
Anastasia de Torby. On 10 October 1944, she married Lt.-Col. Harold
Phillips (1909–1980). They had five children:

Alexandra Anastasia Phillips (born 27 February 1946)
Nicholas Harold Phillips (23 August 1947–1 March 1991)
Fiona Mercedes Phillips (born 30 March 1951)
Marita Georgina Phillips (born 28 May 1954)
Natalia Ayesha Phillips (born 8 May 1959)
Lady Kennard's first husband, Harold Phillips, died in 1980. She was
remarried in 1992 to Sir George Arnold Ford Kennard, 3rd Bt. (1915–
1999).

She was a close friend of the Queen, godmother to HRH The Duke of
York, related by marriage to HRH The Duke of Edinburgh (his uncle the
2nd Marquess of Milford Haven married her aunt Countess Nada de Torby)
and mother-in-law to the Duke of Abercorn and the Duke of Westminster.
