Anson/Nicolson engagement

The engagement has been announced between Charles Vernon Anson, CVO (b
11 Mar 1944), Press Secretary to the Queen 1990-97, son of Philip
Vernon Anson by his wife the former Stella Parish, & Juliet Nicolson
(b 1954), scion of the Barons Carnock (Baron UK, 1914), former wife of
James Macmillan-Scott, and dau of the writer, the late Nigel Nicolson
by his wife the former Philippa Janet Tennyson-d'Eyncourt, scion of
that baronetcy family. Juliet's grandparents were Sir Harold
Nicolson, KCVO, CMG and Vita Sackville-West, CH.

Juliet Nicolson is a sister of the 5th Baron Carnock. From her
marriage to Mr Macmillan-Scott she has daughters, Clementine (b 1981)
and Flora (b 1985). Charles Anson's 1st marriage, in 1976, was to
Clarissa Rosamund Denton, by whom he has one son and one dau.
