Hamilton and Lady Amabel Montagu Douglas Scott - The engagement is announced between Douglas, youngest son of Captain and Mrs Colin Hamilton, of Chichester, West Sussex, and Amabel, younger daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Buccleuch and Queensberry.

Lady Amabel Hamilton (nee Montagu-Douglas-Scott) runs a company called "Atlantic Mariculture Ltd" (see Gov.uk Advanced Company Search) and a fellow director is Douglas Gratton Hamilton, so the couple must have married at some point, again Debretts are very tardy, indeed i believe they are waiting for the brilliant people who post here to do their work. I have sent Debretts are message but won't hold my breath (i have many many messages, with them. pending.

Patricia,  I know exactly what you mean. What excuse can Debrett's have for not  picking up at least information through open sources?  It's really disgraceful.

The date of change of name on the filed Form CH01 is 27 November 2022 which may or may not be the date of the marriage.  Douglas Grattan Hamilton actually resigned from the company on 1 November 2022

According to Scotland's People if you enter "Montagu Douglas Scott"  i believe that the following are the children of Lady Amabel & Douglas Hamilton (of course short of the mother's maiden name can't be 100% sure) but if you enter "Hamilton" both names appear, with the same names, date of birth, registeration number & location.

Is Scotland's People the Scottish version of the GRO?

Yes, but Scottish Records don't give you mother's maiden name and sometime there is variations of name e.g. Montagu Douglas not Montagu Douglas Scott, so its a bit of a guess and you have to pay to access certificates, like GRO. Unlike GRO you can access marriages.
