VISCOUNT WAVERLEY AND MISS P WAY   The forthcoming marriage is announced between John Desmond, son of the late Alastair, Viscount Waverley and Myrtle, Viscountess Waverley [*] and Miss Philippa Way, younger daughter of the late Sir Richard and Lady Way.

 

(John) Desmond Forbes ANDERSON 3rd Viscount WAVERLEY (b 1949), son of the 2nd Viscount, whom he succ 1990. He m 1st 1994 (div ?) Dr Ursula Helen BARROW LLM PhD High Commr for Belize 1993-98, d of Raymond Hugh BARROW SC Barrister-at-law of Belize City. His only child from this marriage is his ha (and only heir to the title) The Hon Forbes Alastair Rupert ANDERSON (b 1996).

 

Philippa Joan (b 1955, reg December, Surrey) d of Sir Richard George Kitchener WAY KCB CBE (1914-98) and Ursula Joan (1924-2002) d of Francis Hubert STARR (c1888-1939) and Flora COOK (c1888-1938).

 

[* Debrett's styles the Viscount's mother as the Dowager Viscountess but I see this notice describes her as Myrtle, Viscountess Waverley.]

I think that is is quite fortunate that this peerage has an heir, I had long given up on it considering the age of the Viscount when he married.
