From the Times of 1 Jan 2026: BROOKS Caroline Diana (née Todd) died on 29th December 2025, aged 94, at Castle Barn Farm, Churchill, Oxfordshire. Beloved wife of the late Robert Brooks. Devoted mother of Annabel, Christopher and Charles and grandmother to Ella, Callum, Lara, Coco, Bucky and Scarlett. Private funeral. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

She was d of Brig George Herbert Norris TODD 1897-1971 of Moreton-in-Marsh, Glos by his 1926 m reg Q3 Rutland to Alice Nina DIXON 1897-1975. She m 1955 Robert Noel Brand 1927-76 s of Maj Noel Brand BROOKS 1896-1984 (gs of 1 Baron CRAWSHAW 1825-1908) and his wife & cousin Joan Margaret 1901-84 d of Brig-Gen Sir Edward Thomas LE MARCHANT 4 Bt 1871-1953 and Evelyn Brooks 1877-1957 d of Robert Millington KNOWLES 1843-1924 sometime head of that gentry family of Colston Bassett Hall and his 2 w Hon Alice Catherine BROOKS 1852-92 d of 1 Baron CRAWSHAW 1825-1908, and had two sons and a dau as above.
