Oldfield The marriage took place at the Church of the Beheading of St John the Baptist, Doddington, Kent, on Saturday, Sept 21,.—between Alexander, son of Mr and Mrs Geoffrey Philipps, and Leonora, daughter of Mr Richard Oldfield and the late the Hon Mrs (Alexandra) Oldfield.
The bride was attended by Miss Francesca Somerset, Cecilia Cospain-Davidson, Lucie Cospain-Davidson, Elena Cospain-Davidson, Samuel Craigie, Molly Lumsden, William Lumsden and Max Thompson. Captain Toby Kendall was best man.
I take the groom to be Alexander Gervaise (b 1985) s of Geoffrey Mark PHILIPPS (b 1948, gs of 1st Baron MILFORD and gt gs of 7th Earl of ANTRIM), and Georgina Bridget (b 1951) d of Rear-Adm John Gervaise Beresford COOKE CB DSC (1911-76), scion of the Irish gentry family of that name, and Helen Beatrice CAMERON (b 1921), scion of that Scots gentry family, formerly of Inch.
Leonora (b 1985) d of Richard John OLDFIELD and Hon Alexandra Frances Margaret DAVIDSON (1957-95) d of 2nd Viscount DAVIDSON (b 1928) and his 1st w Margaret Birgitta (later Viscountess Culville of Culross) d of Maj-Gen Cyril Henry NORTON CB CBE DSO (1898-1983) of Dunn House, Long Melford, Suffolk and Ethel LINDBERG of Stockholm, Sweden.
