I don't remember whether I'd heard this before. I am watching Series 1, Episode 10, of HIGNFY (1990) and one question related to a funny story about the Earl of Kilmorey, then a Tory MP. He was in his car talking to his wife on a mobile phone... she asked if he'd be home for supper, and he replied "It depends on whether the silly cow resigns." His phone was being tapped in some way and recorded by a paramilitary group who then publicized it.   :)
