From the Telegraph and Times of 4 May 2019: GIFFARD - On 29th April to Charlie and Tessa (nee Henderson), a daughter (Honor India Rose)

Charles Edward O (b c1982 reg Q1 Staffordshire) son of John William GIFFARD (b 1952, adopted son (Christening The Times 29 July 1952) of Peter Richard De Longueville GIFFARD (1921-98) sometime head of the gentry family of that name of Chillington) by his 1978 m (reg Q2 London) to Crescent Vail d of H. Edward SMITH of Dallas, Texas, USA. He m c2010 Tessa Jane (b 1983) d of racehorse trainer Nicholas John HENDERSON (b 1950), scion of the FARINGDON Barons, and his wife and sometime jockey Diana Amanda dau of John THORNE of Chesterton Stud, Leamington Spa, Warwicks. Tessa's gt gt gf was the brother of the 1st Baron Faringdon (cr UK 1916). Their son Archie Ralph Thomas was b 2015.

The present head of the ancient gentry family Giffard of Chillington is not a blood relation of the previous head.
