Paterson, elder son of Mr and Mrs Michael Jardine-Paterson, of
Balgray, Dumfriesshire, and Emilia Mary Florence d'Erlanger (b 1982),
youngest daughter of Mr Robin Gerard d'Erlanger, of Hensleigh, Devon,
by his wife the former Hon Mary Elizabeth Josephine Pellew (b 1947),
dau of the 9th Viscount Exmouth (1908-70).

David Jardine-Paterson is scion of a Scots landed family (and kin of
the Earl of Annanale & Hartfell. Miss d'Erlanger is a friend of Prince
William of Wales and mooted as a possible bride for HRH by the tabloid
press from circa 1999...

Jardine Paterson is a good friend and roommate to George, Earl Percy, and both men were suggested as possible husbands for one Pippa Middleton several years back.
