He was s of 3^rd Viscount MERSEY 1906-70 (and presumptive heir to that viscountcy, although not to the Scots Lordship of Nairne) and The Lady NAIRNE 1912-95 (d of 6^th Marquess of LANSDOWNE 1872-1936). He m 1965 Anthea Rosemary b 1941 d of Leopold Richard SEYMOUR 1912-2000 (3xgt gs of 1^st Marquess of HERTFORD 1718-94, as well gt gs of 7^th Duke of GRAFTON 1821-1918 (who was 5xgt gs of King CHARLES II), etc etc) and Sheila Isabel Adeliade 1920-99 only d of Col Arnold Charles Paul BUTLER CBE 1890-1973 (gs of John BULTEEL 1827-97 sometime head of that gentry family of Leighon) and Violet Frances Gertrude 1893-1972 d of Col Abel Henry SMITH 1862-1930 (descendant of Abel SMITH the Notts banker and related to many of whom we treat including The KING) and Hon Isabella Anna BROWNLOW 1864-1935 d of 2^nd Baron LURGAN 1831-1882 by his w a dau of 3^rd Baron KILMAINE 1794-1873, and had three sons and a dau. His eldest son CHARLES RICHARD PETTY Bigham b 21 April 1967 (m with three sons and a dau) is now the presumptive heir to the 5^th Viscount MERSEY b 1966.

1. Caspar Patrick Ronan (b 1997)

2. Rohan Colum Pirate (b. 1999)

Per Richard's post, CHARLES RICHARD PETTY is shown as the new hp and his three sons (as shown in my post), occupy the next 3 places in line.

Next would be Charles' first brother, Patrick (b. 1969)   He has 2 sons, but the older one Finbar, was born in 2004 , the same year Patrick and his wife  Katie Harman married, so I'm not sure if he is in remainder.  The younger son, Angus, was b. 2006.

Then would come Charles' youngest brother, James (b. 1973) followed by their uncle, the Hon. Andrew (last remaining son of the 3rd Viscount) (b. 1941)
