Cox - The engagement is announced between Robert, son of the late Mr Thomas Crosbie Dawson and of the Hon Mrs Crosbie Dawson, of Pawston House, Mindrum, Northumberland, and Edwina, daughter of Major and Mrs Christopher Cox, of Banks Fee Farm, Longborough, Gloucestershire.

The prospective bride would appear to be the younger daughter of Major Christopher John Godman COX (born 13 March 1957) and his wife (marriage registered August 1985 - Bridport), Charlotte A J ("Annie") MACEWAN (birth registered Q1 1960 - Marylebone). Her elder sister's engagement was announced in The Daily Telegraph some four months ago (see http://announcements.telegraph.co.uk/engagements/255006/mr-l.c.-draper-and-miss-l.s.-cox).

Major Cox is a 3 x greats-grandson of the 3rd Baron Foley and a 4 x greats-grandson of the 2nd Duke of Leinster.
