From the Times of 26 July 2023: MR F. W. KENT AND MISS M. J. BROWNE The engagement is announced between Fraser, son of Mr and Mrs Stephen Kent of Lincolnshire, and Matilda, daughter of Mr and Mrs Benjamin Browne of Gloucestershire.

Fraser Waring b 1990 reg Q2 Lincs s of Stephen W KENT by his 1987 m reg Q2 Lincs to Cheryl Y DOBBS b 1963 reg Q4 Lincs.

Matilda Jane b 1989 reg Q4 London d of Benjamin James BROWNE b April 1954 (yr s of Capt Percy Basil BROWNE 1923-2004 (Who’s Who) sometime head of that gentry family of Buckland Filleigh by his 1953 m to his 2nd of three wives Jenefer Mary PETHERICK 1927-2009 scion of that gentry family f/o Porthpean House) by his 30 May 1987 (Times 1 June) to Juliet Mary b July 1952 d of Maj G B HEYWOOD of Stroud, Glos and Catherine RICHARDS.

Maj Geoffrey Beresford ("Tim") HEYWOOD, MBE, DL (12 VII 1914 - 15 VI 2006), who was the head of that landed gentry (LG) family, of Haresfield Court, was married, firstly, on 18 May 1946 to (as her second husband) Mrs Catherine Mary KYFFIN, née RICHARDS (9 IX 1918 - 16 VI 2009?), of that LG family of Caerynwch. She was the widow (married 7 IX 1940) of Sub-Lt John Seton KYFFIN (9 VIII 1919 -13 XII 1941; killed in action), of that LG family, who was a grandson maternally of Sir Ernest Salter WILLS, 3rd Bt (30 XI 1869 - 14 I 1958).

Maj Heywood's great-great-grandfather, Thomas HEYWOOD (3 IX 1797 - 20 XI 1866), was a younger brother of Sir Benjamin HEYWOOD, 1st Bt, FRS (12 XII 1793 - 11 VIII 1865), and another of his great-great-grandfathers was the Most Rev Marcus Gervais BERESFORD, DD (14 II 1801 - 26 XII 1885), Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland, 1862-85, who was himself a great-grandson of the 1st Earl of Tyrone.
