SELBORNE John Roundell Palmer, the Earl of Selborne, died peacefully at home

on 12 February 2021. aged 80. Private funeral. Memorial service to follow.

He was born on 24 March 1940 and succeeded his grandfather to the title in 1971. In 1999 he was one of the 42 Conservative hereditary peers elected to continue as members of the House of Lords. He retired from the House on 26 March 2020. He is succeeded by his eldest son William Lewis Palmer, Viscount Wolmer, born 1 September 1971.
