From the Telegraph of 12 May 2023: GIMSON Elspeth Primrose (née Ogilvie) died peacefully at home on Tuesday 2nd May 2023 aged 101. Devoted wife of the late Richard, loving mother of Wendy, Caroline and Alexander, grandmother of Robert (deceased), Sophie, Patrick, Tarmina, Benjamin, Nathaniel, and nine great grandchildren. Funeral Service to be held at St Andrew's Church, Aldringham, Suffolk on Tuesday 23rd May 2023 at 11.30 a.m. All welcome. Dress colourful. Family flowers only. Donations if wished to Wardens Trust.

She was d of Lt-Col Sholto Stuart OGILVIE CBE DSO 1884-1961 scion of that gentry family of Sizewell Hall and Gladys Mina Henrietta 1885-1977 d of Mortimer ROOKE 1854-1942 scion of that gentry family of Iford Manor and Frederika Charlotte Louisa 1861-1954 d of Col Arthur John Bethell THELLUSON 1826-1901 (gs of 1^st Baron RENDLESHAM 1761-1808, gt gs of 2^nd Baron FOLEY 1742-93, 3xgt gs of 2^nd Earl of HARRINGTON 1719-79, 4xgt gs of 2^nd Duke of GRAFTON 1683-1757 who was gs of King CHARLES II) and Henrietta Frances Elizabeth VERNON-WENTWORTH d 1873. She m 1947 Capt Richard Allynne Stanford MC 1922-2018 s of Harold GIMSON 1881-1939 of Daneways, Leiston, Suffolk by his 1917 m reg Q2 Suffolk to Janet Marjorie STANFORD 1888-1946, and had a son and two daus as above.
