Lady Plymouth's mother Grace Lucille Duggan was the daughter of the Marchioness Curzon nee Grace Elvina Hinds (daughter of J. Monroe Hinds, US Minister to Brazil and US Consul General in Argentina) by her first husband Alfred Duggan [Alfredo Huberto Duggan], of Buenos Aires (d. 1915), a first-generation Irish-American appointed to the Argentine Legation in London. She married 2ndly 2 Jan 1917 (as his 2nd wife) aged 38: the Marquess Curzon, a former Viceroy of India (1859-1925), whose first wife was Mary Leiter, an American heiress (by whom he had three daughters). However, the marriage was not a success, and the two lived apart for many years. I think Curzon had hoped for an heir to the title, a son, but that wasn't to be.
Lady Curzon nee Grace Elvina Hinds (1877-1958), had two sons - Alfred Duggan (the author born Alfredo Leon Duggan 1903-1964) and Hubert Duggan (1904-1943), and one daughter Grace Lucille Duggan (Marcella Rice 1907-1995) who married Edward Denis Rice, of Dane Court, as his first wife. Both her sons have Wikipedia entries.
On her father's son, the late Countess of Plymouth was the daughter of a Rice of Dane Court, descended from Edward Knight nee Austen and his wife Elizabeth Bridges, of the baronets. They are in remainder to the barony Fitzwalter. I think Lady Plymouth's brother Henry John Bernard Rice (1928-2010) lost or sold Dane Court under controversial circumstances. His family owned the Rice portrait of a young Jane Austen, until his sale by Henry Rice circa 2001. Unfortunately, my details on Jane Austen's relatives and their descendants is on my laptop, currently moribund.
An Incomplete Genealogy
1. Caroline Helen Rice (1931-2016) who married the present Earl of Plymouth.
2. Edward Denis Rice (d. 1973) of Dane Court [sold 1975 by his son] md 1stly (div by 1962) Grace Elvira Duggan, later Marcella Rice (1907-1995), issue three children. Edward Rice left the contents of the house (sans the Rice portrait which was entailed, and the house itself) to his 2nd wife and widow Nolwen de Janze (ca 1924-1989), a French woman, who removed all the unentailed contents; she went on to marry Lord Clark, the art historian. (She is the daughter of American heiress Alice de Janze nee Silverthorne, mentioned in "White Mischief" and on this group earlier; Nolwen married Edward Denis Rice in 1962). Two years later, his son and his third wife Anne (md 1975) sold the house and moved to Guernsey with the portrait. In 1983, he and his wife moved back to England. Henry Rice died in 2010, leaving the portrait to his third wife and widow Anne Rice who currently owns the portrait. (A 2007 effort to sell the portrait through Christie's failed to meet the reserve price, and Henry Rice suffered a heart attack shortly afterwards).
4. Henry Edward Harcourt Rice (1864-1943)
Henry Rice (d 1943) was given the Rice portrait by his cousin Gwenllian Rice, now Lady Northbourrne (1871-1952) as she felt it belonged to the Rice family by descent.

The Fitzwalter barony passed via Elizabeth Knight's maternal grandmother Fanny Fowler into the line of descent from her eldest son Sir Brook Bridges, and thence via females to the late 21st Baron Fitzwalter (d 2004) who married his cousin above. Hope this helps those interested in her ancestry, especially her links to the Austens, Knights, and other families descended from Rev. George Austen & Cassandra Leigh. Or those wondering about the descendants of Grace Elvira Duggan, Marchioness Curzon.
