From the Telegraph of 7 Jan 2024: CUTHBERT John Aidan of Sandhoe, Northumberland died at home on 21st December 2024, aged 90. Beloved husband, brother, father and grandfather. Private family funeral; memorial service to follow.

He was s of Maj Harold David CUTHBERT 1909-59 (who he succ. as) head of that gentry family of Beaufront Castle and as her 1^st h Bridget Sibyl 1910-2010 (Mrs Seton Dearden) d of Capt Sir Edward Clive MILNES-COATES 2^nd Bt 1879-1971 and Lady Celia Hermione CREWE-MILNES 1884-1985 d of the 1st & only Marquess of CREWE KG 1858-1945 and his 1st wife a scion of the GRAHAM Bts of Netherby and the SOMERSET dukes, etc. He m 1^st 1975 (div 1996) Lady Victoria Lucy Diana PERCY b 1949 d of 10^th Duke of NORTHUMBERLAND 1914-88 and Lady Elizabeth Diana MONTAGU DOUGLAS SCOTT 1922-2012 (d of 8^th Duke of BUCCLEUCH & [10^th] QUEENSBERRY 1894-1973 who was nephew of Princess ALICE Duchess of GLOUCESTER 1901-2004, etc), and had a son and three daus (the middle dau Lucy Caroline b 1982 m 2011, HRH Prince Khalid bin Bandar AL SAUD, Saudi ambassador to the UK since 2019 and has issue).
