From the Telegraph and Times of 4 June 2013: HANNEN Brigid April died peacefully at home in Nassau on 29th May 2013. Wonderful wife of Guy for 64 years, mother of Peter and the late Caroline, grandmother of Alexandra, Elizabeth and Guy, great grandmother of Grace, Finn, Arabella, Tabitha and Jemima. The funeral took place in Nassau on 31st May. A memorial service will be held in the UK later in the year.
She was d of Maj Bryan Northam GIBBS MBE (d 1965, Barbados), scion of that gentry family of Kingswood, and his former wife Lady Rosamond Kathleen Margaret BUTLER (1899-1972) d of the 7th Earl of CARRICK (1873-1931) and (Ellen) Rosamond Mary LINDSAY (d 1946), scion of the earls of CRAWFORD & BALCARRES, the viscounts TREDEGAR, earls of ARRAN etc etc. She m 1949 (Lancelot) Guy Michael MC s of Gordon HANNEN and had a son and a dau as above.
