From the Telegraph and Times of 26 November 2013: HARRIS Elizabeth Hermione, 'Betty', died peacefully, Thursday November 14th, aged 99. Born Coates. Widow of William Barclay 'Bill' Harris QC. Beloved mother of Jessica Tcherepnine, Jonathan, Hermione Harris Karlin, grandmother and great-grandmother. No funeral, as she bequeathed her body to medical science. Thanksgiving Service, St. Margaret's Church, West Hoathly, Sussex, RH19 4PP, 12 noon, January 4th, 2014. No flowers please: instead, donations to charities of choice.

She was d of Sir (Edward) Clive COATES OBE 2nd Bt (1879-1971, later MILNES COATES) and Lady Celia Hermione CREWE-MILNES (1884-1985) d of the 1st & last Marquess of CREWE KG (1858-1945) and his 1st wife a scion of the GRAHAM Bts of Netherby and the dukes of SOMERSET. She m 1937 William Barclay (Bill) QC (1911-2000) s of William Cecil HARRIS, scion of that gentry family formerly of Westcoates, and had a son and two daus.
