HILL, Sir John Alfred Rowley, 11th Baronet (1940-?)

The Official Roll of the Baronetage shows the Hill of Brook Hall baronetcy as now being vacant from which it follows that Sir John Alfred Rowley Hill, 11th baronet has died.  I have not being able to find an online notice of his death at the moment.

He was the son of Sir George Alfred Rowley Hill, 9th Baronet (1899-1985) by his 2nd m 1938 to Jessie Anne ROBERTS (d 1995).  He succeeded his half-brother, the 10th Bt, in 1992. He m 1966 Diana Anne WALKER and had an adopted s and d.

He is succeeded as 12th Baronet by his kinsman (descended from the 2nd son of the 1st Bt) Sir Marcus Adam James Hill b 1974 (subject to proving his claim and being entered on the Official Roll of the Baronetage) resident in Australia.  He m Aug 2004 Sallyanne Rebecca GLENNIE and they have issue:-

1. Rhett Stephen b 2004 (not clear whether he is the ha)

and two sons Braedy Adam HILL b 1996 and Keanan Marcus Leo HILL b 1998 by Narelle Catherine BYRNE

The Registrar of the Baronetage has kindly confirmed that Sir John Alfred Rowley Hill died on 8 May 2024

Conformation of the new Baronet's date of birth ? Burkes 106th ed states only 1974.

Marcus Adam James HILL (b. 1974) is listed as the "de jure 12th Baronet," with the title being listed as "Dormant 2024".  His profession is listed as "Truck Driver."

His son RHETT STEPHEN (b. Dec. 2004) is the ha.  (The new baronet married Rhett's mother, Sallyanne Rebecca Glennie, in August of that year.)  The other sons of the baronet, listed in colinp's original post, are not in remainder.

After Rhett, next in line would appear to be descendants of a branch from the 2nd son of the 1st Baronet.
