He m 1953 reg Q3 London Julia Rosemary 1929-2008 d of Harwood Lawrence Maurice COTTER 1906-62 and as her 1^st h Rosemary Catherine 1905-77 (Lady Ley) d of Capt Duncan MACPHERSON RN 1853-1920 scion of that Scots gentry family of Cluny Macpherson and Edith Julia DE CAPELL-BROOKE 1867-1923 (gd of Sir William DE CAPELL BROOKE 3^rd Bt 1801-86 and Hon Catherine WATSON 1802-84 d of 2^nd Baron SONDES 1754-1806), and had a son and a dau as above:
