__.The engagement was announced 14 July, 2014, between James Thomas Coughtrie (b 1986), son of Mr & Mrs Douglas Coughtrie, of Whitley Bay, Tyne & Wear, and Charlotte Louisa Smith-Bingham (born 1987), scion of that landed family, daughter of Mr Kim Smith-Bingham (b 1957), of Co Tipperary, by his former wife the former Fiona Macdonald-Buchanan (descended from the extinct Barons Woolavington) (now Mrs Fiona Quirk. of Chitterne, Wilts).
