From the Telegraph of 5 April 2025: GOODMAN Philip Henry Russell, died peacefully on 29th March 2025 aged 93 years. Beloved husband of Sonia for 67 years, much loved father of Mary, Catherine, Elizabeth, Sophie and Xenia, adored grandfather "Baba" and great grandfather. Funeral to be held at St Mary Abbots Church, Kensington, London… on Thursday 24th April 2025 at 12 noon. All welcome.

He was s of Sir Victor Martin Reeves GOODMAN KCB OBE MC 1899-1967 and his 1^st w (her 1^st h) Julian Ottoline 1906-89 (Mrs Igor Vinogradoff) only child of Philip Edward MORRELL 1870-1943 scion of that gentry family of Headington Hall and Lady Ottoline Violet Ann CAVENDISH-BENTINCK 1873-1938 d of Lt-Gen Arthur CAVENDISH-BENTINCK 1819-77 (gs of 3^rd Duke of PORTLAND 1738-1809, as well gs of 1^st & only Marquess WELLESLEY 1760-1842 who was bro of 1^st Duke of WELLINGTON 1769-1852, etc) and The Baroness BOLSOVER 1834-93 who was gd of 2^nd Baron KILMAINE 1765-1825, as well gd of 1^st Viscount FRANKFORT DE MONTMORENCY 1747-1822. He m 1957 Countess Sophie (Sonia) Vladimirovna KLEINMICHEL b 1930 d of Count Vladimir Petrovich KLEINMICHEL CVO 1901-82 and as her 2^nd h Countess Marie Catherine Sophie VON CARLOW 1893-1979 (6xgt gd of King GEORGE II 1683-1760, etc etc etc), and had five daus as above.H

Years ago when I was interested in the Bloomsbury Group I read various biographies and memoirs featuring Lady Ottoline Morrell. She was a fascinating person. For those not familiar with her, some information can be found on Wikipedia.
