From the Telegraph of 10 Dec 2024: PILKINGTON Ian Alan Douglas, died peacefully on 21st November. Private family funeral. Thanksgiving Service at St Paul's Church, Knightsbridge at 3 p.m. on Wednesday 22nd January.

He was s of Maj Thomas Douglas PILKINGTON 1912-2000 (who he succ. as) head of that gentry family of Reay and his 1^st w Vivien Mary 1913-95 d of Walter Bernard BAKER 1875-1949 of Tunworth, Hants and Milicent EMERSON 1891-1979. He m 1962 Penelope b 1940 d of Lt-Col Edward BUTLER-HENDERSON 1916-2002 (gs of 1^st Baron FARINGDON 1850-1934, as well gs of 5^th Baron CLARINA 1837-1922) and Elizabeth Marjorie Dacres 1920-88 d of Henry George Dacres DIXON 1887-1947 and Marjorie Edith PELHAM 1897-1995 (gd of 3^rd Earl of YARBOROUGH 1835-75), and had a son (RORY IAN DOUGLAS b 1968 who is married with a dau) and two daus (Camilla Douglas (Hon Mrs George Ponsonby) b 1966 who m 1^st a scion of the RICHMOND & GORDON dukes and had issue, and m 2^nd a gs of the 5^th Baron DE MAULEY 1878-1962; and Sarah Douglas b 1973 who is m with no known issue).
