He was s of Maj Wilfred Michael FOX 1907-75 and as her 1 h Anthea Helen 1917-2006 (Mrs Edward Lowes) d of Sir Ian Leslie ORR EWING 1893-1958 (gs of Sir Archibald ORR EWING 1 Bt 1818-93) and Helen Bridget 1896-1978 d of Hon Henry Lloyd GIBBS 1861-1907 (yst s of 1 Baron ALDENHAM 1819-1907 who was also the f of 1 Baron HUNSDON 1854-1935) and Alice Mary CRUTCHLEY 1860-1942 scion of that gentry family of Mappercombe Manor. He m 1964 Charlotte Certhia b 1944 d of Mervyn Jeffry INGRAM 1909-93 and Joan Doreen DUPEN 1909-99, and had a son and a dau:
