From the Telegraph of 24 Dec 2022: ELWES Carolyn Dawn (née Cripps). Died suddenly on 23rd December 2022, aged 82. Devoted wife to Sir Henry Elwes, much loved mother to John, Freddie and George (d. 1993) and grandmother to Octavia, Jemima, Thomas and William. Funeral for family and friends to be confirmed. Thanksgiving at a later date.
She was d of Joseph William Wykeham CRIPPS 1900-58 sometime head of that gentry family of Ampney Park and Joyce d of Col Arthur Clement WILKINSON CMG DSO 1870-1950 and Florence Camilla ELLERSHAW 1878-1958. She m 1962 Sir Henry William George ELWES KCVO b 1935 head of that gentry family of Colesbourne as well gt gs of 7th Duke of RICHMOND &c 1845-1928 etc etc, and had three sons as above.
