Died on 27th December 2025, in his 90th year, after a very long illness borne with great stoicism. He was born 24 May 1936, s of Maj Jeffry Arden Patrick LEFROY MBE 1909-85 scion of that Irish gentry family of Carrigglas Manor, County Longford (gt gs of Very Revd Jeffry LEFROY 1809-85 by his 1846 m to Helena 1820-1908 dau of Revd Frederick Steuart TRENCH 1787-1860 (gs of Frederick TRENCH 1724-97, also father of 1st BARON ASHTOWN 1755-1840) by his 1816 m to Hon Helena PERCEVAL d 1881 dau of 2nd BARON ARDEN 1756-1840 by his 1787 m to Margaretta Elizabeth 1768-1851 dau of General Sir Thomas Spencer WILSON 6th Bt (Eng 1661) 1726-98, etc) by his 1st 1935 m (diss 1968) to Veronica Maud Pomeroy 1913-2012 dau of George Pomeroy Arthur COLLEY 1866-1933 s of Henry FitzGeorge POMEROY COLLEY 1827-86 (gs of 4th VISCOUNT HARBERTON 1758-1833) by his 1858 m to Elizabeth Isabella WINGFIELD d 1903 (gd of 4th VISCOUNT POWERSCOURT 1762-1809), etc.
He married 1 February 1964 Teresa Margaret (Tessa) dau of Henry Alwyn WHITE DL of Orange Hill, Tandragee, County Armagh. They had two sons as above.
