From the Telegraph of 29 June 2021: MCALPINE Robert James (Bobby) died peacefully at home in Cheshire on Friday 25 June aged 89. Much loved father of Euan, Sara, Christopher & Emma and stepfather to Trini & Sara. A service will be held in Tarporley. For details, please contact Oxley's Funeral Services ... No flowers please, but donations to the Injured Jockeys Fund and Dementia UK welcome.
He was s of Alfred James MCALPINE 1908-91 (gs of Sir Robert MCALPINE 1st Bt 1847-1934) and his 1st w Peggy Barbara SAUNDERS d 1984. He m 1st 1956 Jane Winifred Mary 1932-92 d of James Giles ANTON 1910-75 by his 1927 m reg Q3 Worcs to Mary Elizabeth HODGKINSON 1902-95, and had two sons and a dau as above. He m 2nd 1981 as her 2nd h Angela Jacqueline 1948-2016 d of Maj Eric William LANGFORD BROOKE 1910-61 and Margaret DEMPSTER 1910-80 and had a further dau as above.
