From the Telegraph of 8 July 2025: THORNTON Jennifer Barbara (née Stephenson) died on 4th July 2025 aged 93. Beloved wife of John and much loved by her children Katherine, Edward and Robert, also their families.

She was d of Percival John Parker STEPPHENSON 1900-73 (s of Lt-Col Sir Henry Kenyon STEPHENSON 1^st Bt 1865-1947) and Pamela Benton 1908-97 d of Sir Walter Benton JONES 2^nd Bt 1880-1967 and Lily Marguerite FAWCETT 1879-1938. She m 1958 John Henry b 1927 reg Q3 Notts s of Rev John Gordon THORNTON 1884-1969 and Judith 1887-1960 d of Henry BIRKBECK 1853-1930 sometime head of that gentry family of Westacre and Ysabel Caroline ELWES 1859-1934 scion of that gentry family of Congham, and had two sons and a dau as above.
