I am not entirely convinced that the prospective bride, Mimi Leese, and Tara Leese are one and the same person, although the only issue of the marriage of the late Julian S LEESE (1965 - ?) and Nichola Mimi VESTBIRK (born c.1966/7) that I can find on the GRO birth index are Tara and her younger sister, Perdita Isobel Constance LEESE (born 1997). If Mimi and Tara are not the same person, it may, of course, be that Mimi's birth took place abroad.
The announcement of the engagement of Mimi Leese's first cousin, Marina C LEESE (born 1985), was noted in Richard's posting of 16 May 2015 at
https://groups.google.com/g/peerage-news/c/SFYeiJ-2nBk/m/3r4jxc2BJyIJ. Marina Leese is the daughter of the late Julian Leese's elder brother, Nicholas Sims LEESE (born 1956), by his 1978 marriage to (as her first husband) Alexandra Caroline MUIR (born 5 IX 1959), the youngest daughter of Colonel Thomas Wemyss MUIR (1923 - 2004) and his wife (married 30 XII 1952), Caroline Egeria Malise GRAHAM (born 14 VIII 1929), of the Graham of Esk baronets. Marina Leese has two brothers, James (born 1988) and Hubert (born 1993).
Nicholas and Julian Leese were the sons of Douglas Sims LEESE (IV 1927 - 2011) and his wife (married 1951), Jane (or Jean) Primrose HANKS (born XI 1931), who was herself the daughter of Reginald Frederick HANKS (27 IV 1896 - 15 XII 1976), who rose to become the effective head of the Nuffield Organisation, second only to William Richard MORRIS, 1st and last Viscount Nuffield (10 X 1877 - 22 VIII 1963). Mr Hanks was subsequently the chairman of the Western Region Board, later British Rail Western Region, from 1955 to 1960.
