From the Times of 10 May 2025: CARTER Elspeth (née Gordon Duff) on 27th April 2025, aged 92, peacefully at home. Much-loved wife of the late Gerald, and mother to Nick and Rosebie, and grandmother to Edward, George, Charlotte, Millie, Alastair, Patrick and Tom. Service of Thanksgiving will be held at St Andrew’s Nether Wallop at 2.30pm on Monday 2nd June.

She was d of Capt George Edward GORDON DUFF CBE 1895-1966 scion of that Scots gentry family of Drummuir & Park and his 1^st w (her 1^st h) Rosemary Estelle 1906-96 (Mrs Mayer) d of Thomas CRAVEN 1850-1933 of London W8 who m 2^nd 23 Aug 1905 (St George, Hanover Sq) to Emily Mary BERRIDGE 1872-1954. She m 1957 Maj Gerald Royle WindyBank CARTER MBE 1927-2015, and had a son and a dau as above
