From the Telegraph of 8 Aug 2022: CHETWYND-TALBOT Humphrey died peacefully on August 2nd aged 92. Loving husband of Anne for 69 years and much loved and missed by his daughters Kate, Jennifer and Annabel, his sons-in law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral will be held on Monday August 22nd at 3 p.m. at St Denys Church, Colmworth where he was Churchwarden for many years and Tower Captain for 30 years. No flowers please. Donations to St Denys Church.
He was s of Maj Patrick Gilbert Murray CHETWYND-TALBOT 1905-79 (gt gs of 2nd Earl TALBOT 1777-1849 f of 18th Earl of SHREWSBURY 1803-68) and Audrey 1906-95 d of Julius Ernst GUTHE 1856-1917 of sometime head of that gentry family of Kepwick Hall and Anne 1860-1917 d of Dixon Taylor SHARPER 1826-95 and his 1st w Barbara Ridley ALLEN 1825-80. He m 1953 Anne d of Capt Edward Glyn de Styrap JUKES-HUGHES CBE RN 1883-1966 and Dorothy Noel 1896-1982 d of Maurice Edward TURNER 1872-1936 of Ashe House, Overton, Hants by his c1896 m reg Q1 Derbys to Mary Edith WILSON [1868-1953], and had 3 daus as above.
