From the Telegraph of 30 June 2026: GORE Leslie Marshall (née Peabody) died on 16th June aged 100. Widow of Humphry, mother of Mark, Brendon and Timothy, grandmother of Emma, Celia, Edward, Charles, Lucy and Frederick. Funeral Service to be held at Greatness Cemetery, Sevenoaks, on Friday 3rd July at 10.45 a.m.

She was d of Benjamin Bostwick PEABODY 1879-1965 and Helen Frances SEAVERNS d 1969. She m 1948 Maj Humphry Gerard Napier 1916-2008 s of Col Edward John Mounsey GORE 1863-1949 (gt gs of 2 Earl of ARRAN 1734-1809, as well 2xgt gs of 1 Viscount GLERAWLY c1710-1770 (f of the 1 & 2 Earls of ANNESLEY) by his BERESFORD w a dau of 1 Earl of TYRONE 1694-1763 and The Baroness LA POER 1701-69) and Hon Emilia Herbert Fullarton NAPIER 1870-1932 d of 1 Baron NAPIER OF MAGDALA 1810-90 and his 2 w Mary Cecilia CI c1840-1930 d of Maj-Gen Edward William Smythe SCOTT 1813-92 (gs of 8 Earl of MEATH 1721-90) and Eliza WHISH 1823-98, and had three sons as above.
