From the Telegraph of 28 May 2020: STEPHENSON Rose (née Asquith) died peacefully at home on May 22nd 2020, aged 94. Widow of Sir John Stephenson, much loved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, aunt and friend. Private family funeral. Donations if desired to Diabetes UK.
She was d of the law lord Baron ASQUITH OF BISHOPSTONE (1890-1954, s of 1st Earl of OXFORD & ASQUITH (1852-1928)), and Anne Stephanie (1896-1964) d of Sir Adrian Donald Wilde POLLOCK KCMG (1867-1943), scion of the Bts of that name, and Hon Mary Honorah Rhoda GULLY (c1874-1961, d of 1st Viscount SELBY (1835-1909)). She m 1951 Rt Hon Sir John Frederick Eustace (1910-98) s of Sir Guy STEPHENSON CB (1865-1930), scion of the ALBEMARLE earls (descended from 4th Earl) and RADNOR earls (descended from 3rd earl) etc, and Gwendolen TALBOT (1877-1960, gt gd of 1st Earl TALBOT OF HENSOL (1750-1793) & scion of the SHREWSBURY earls), and had two sons and a dau.
