Daily Mail reports the death of The Hon. Henry Channon, b. 2 Jan 1970, the only son of The Rt Hon. (Henry) Paul Guinness Channon (1935-2007), long-serving MP (was Baby of the House 1959–1964) and a Minister in the Thatcher Government, who following his retirement from Parliament at the 1997 General Election, was created a Life Peer as Baron Kelvedon, of Ongar, in the county of Essex on 11 June 1997 - talking the title after the family's house (Kelvedon Hall, Brentwood Essex).

Lord Kelvedon was the son of diarist and MP - Sir Henry "Chips" Channon (1897-1958) and The Lady Honor Dorothy Mary Guinness (1909-1976) from the famous brewing dynasty, the eldest daughter of The 2nd Earl of Iveagh (1874-1967) & The Lady Gwendoline Onslow (1881-1966), the eldest daughter of The 4th Earl of Onslow (1853-1911).

The Daily Mail lists various premature deaths within the family.
