I'm looking for information on the children, grandchildren, etc. of
Henry Maurice William Oppenheim and his wife, Isabel Georgina Butler,
dau. of Hon James Butler (son of the 13th/23rd Baron Dunboyne.)

The couple wed in 1868 and had 4 sons and 1 daughter. All I know is
the youngest son was named Augustus Charles and married Audrey Beatrix
Macdonald-Moreton (of Earls of Ducie). Henry died in 1912 and his
widow died in 1933.

As always, any information is greatly appreciated.

Is this the same Robie Uniacke who was married to Lady Emma Howard (of
the earls of Carlisle) and who is now dating Hon. Sophia Hesketh? He
is described as much married. And how is Camilla Guinness nee Uniacke
(separated or ex-wife of Hon. Jasper Guinness) relatd to this Robie?
I assume that they are siblings.

The facts:

1) Sarah Carinthia Alston-Roberts-West married Robie Uniacke in 1951.

2) Camilla's father was Robie David Corbett Uniacke,

3) Lady Emma Bridget Howard married Robie Patrick Maxwell Uniacke in
1983 (they were divorced in 1988). Their son was named Robie Jonjo
Uniacke (born 1984).

The Conclusion:

1) The surname "Robie" apparently went from father to son - so I think
too, that Camilla and Robie P. M. Uniacke were siblings.

2) Between the two mentioned marriages lay a timespace of 31 years -
therefore I would rather think that Sarah C. Alston-Roberts-West
married Robie D. C. Uniacke and that they parented the two siblings.

However Sherlock Holmes could also be wrong ... :-)

Thanks, Phoen for trying, but Carinthia West was born in 1951, not
married in 1951. So she can't be the mother of Camilla and the other
Robie. I know Camilla's father's name and the name of Lady Emma's ex-
husband (presumably the same man married to Carinthia). I assumed -
as Dr Watson - that Camilla and the younger Robie are siblings,
perhaps. Still no evidence....

Meanwhile, I've unearthed a fascinating if sad story...

I've always thought that Lestrade got a bum rap, as the Yanks would
say.....especially after I'd collected and read the entire series of
Lestrade books written by M J Trow. These are delightful and I recommend
them to you.

A further update:

Have received an e-mail stating that the children of Henry and Isabel
were named Harry, Alfred, Robert, Rosalinda and the aforementioned
Augustus.

Not sure if there is any connection for the first four to the peerage,
baronetage or landed gentry.

Still trying to find out if Henry (1835-1912) and Charles Augustus (b.
about 1836) were brothers (or cousins). Very frustrating!

If anyone finds out, please let me know.

Thanks again for everyone's help.

Brooke
