She was the dau of Capt Hon Sir Arthur Jared Palmer HOWARD KBE CVO (1896-1971) yst son of Margaret Charlotte, Baroness Strathcona and Mount Royal in her own right (2nd in line) (1854-1926) and (m 1922) Lady Leonora Stanley Baldwin (d 1989) dau of the 1st Earl Baldwin of Bewdley.  She m 1951 Hon Langley Gordon Haslingden RUSSELL MC (dvp 1975) only son of the 2nd Baron Russell of Liverpool and had 3 sons and 3 daus inc the present 3rd Baron Russell of Liverpool, her other children being raised to the rank of a Baron's sons and daus in 1983
