From the Telegraph & Times of 19 Dec 2022: GREENWOOD John Simon, on 12th December, aged 67, of Balcombe, Sussex; unexpectedly, following a short illness. A Service of Thanksgiving will be held at St Mary’s Church, Balcombe on Thursday 23rd March 2023 at 2.30 p.m. No flowers please, but donations if desired may be sent to Masters & Son Funeral Directors, Lindfield in aid of Simon’s favourite charities.
He was the elder s of John Richard GREENWOOD 1926-2014 [whom he succ as] head of that gentry family of Stone Hall and Penelope Anne b 1932 d of Sir Walter Raymond BURRELL 8th Bt 1903-85 and Hon Anne Judith DENMAN 1907-87 d of 3rd Baron DENMAN 1874-1954 & gd of 1st Viscount COWDRAY 1856-1927. His brother James Anthony GREENWOOD b 1959 succeeds his brother as head of the family. He is m with a dau (who is m with two daus).
