The online Official Roll of the Baronetage shows the Sullivan of Thames Ditton baronetcy as being vacant.  Having checked DPB online I see that the 9th Baronet, who according to DPB2019 was resident in Florence, Oregon USA, and who did not use his title, died in 2022.

His only son (Sir) Charles Merson SULLIVAN b 1962, resident according to DPB2019 in South Molton, Devon and a veterinary surgeon, has succeeded as 10th Baronet subject to proving his claim and being entered on the Official Roll.  He m 1993 Helen Mary ALEXANDER. They have issue:-

Alun David b 1998 ha
Hannah Robyn b 1996

Is this the first time a baronet has had a profession as a veterinary surgeon? There have been quite a few physicians and surgeons being baronets, and many fewer peers being the same, though I have not heard of veterinary surgeons in the peerage and baronetage before.

In response to the question on this thread about peers and baronets who have had a profession as veterinary surgeons: I wasn't a member of this group when it was originally posted, but I was intrigued by it when this thread resurfaced the other day and thought I would look into it a little more. I have only been able to find two peers and one other baronet who held this profession. The LP Baron Soulsby of Swaffham Prior (1926-2017, cr 1990) and Sir Henry Feilden, 7th Bt (1951-2024, succ 2010) were both veterinary surgeons, as is the current LP Baron Trees (b 1946, cr 2012).
