From the Times of 1 Feb 2023: COTTER Sir Patrick Laurence Delaval on 11th January, 7th Baronet of Rockforest, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Educated at Blundell’s and RAC Cirencester, he later became an antique dealer. A very private man, his innate appreciation of the natural world was fundamental to his life. He leaves wife Janet, son and heir Julius, two daughters, and sister Primrose.

He was s of Laurence Stopford Llewellyn COTTER 1912-ka1943 (s of Sir James Laurence COTTER 5th Bt 1887-1924) and Grace Mary 1908- s of Ivor Vincent DOWNING 1880-1944 of Llanishen, Cardiff, Glam. by his 1905 m reg Q3 Glam. to Edith Mary GASKELL. He m 1967 Jane d of George POTTER, and had a son and two daus. His son succeeds him:
