The Lady Lucy, (1937-2026), died peacefully at home on Saturday 1st August after a short illness. Much loved sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. No flowers please. Memorial service details from Diamond & Son."

She was granted the style of a duke's daughter in 2002, after her brother succeeded their cousin as Duke of Sutherland.

He is said to have been son of Harry Alan Pelham (b.1891), son of Hon. Victor Ralph Pelham, of the earls of Yarborough; Harry Alan is said to have been born before marriage, so is not usually included in that family's genealogies.
