From the Telegraph of 29 August 2013: Mr C E A P Vernon and Miss D A Crutchley The engagement is announced between Charles, son of Mr Peter Vernon and Mrs Prue Vernon, of Gloucestershire, and Daisy, daughter of the late Lt-Cdr William Crutchley and of Mrs Crutchley, of Dorset.

 

I assume Charles E A P Vernon is well-connected, but it's not easily obvious to me.

 

Daisy Alice (b 1986) is d of Lt-Cdr William Victor Percy CRUTCHLEY RN (d 2007), scion of the barons SOUTHAMPTON and of the PARKER Bts of Shenstone Lodge) and Hon Penelope Anne (b 1947, formerly Hon Mrs Christopher Devas - scion of the marquesses of Lothian) d of the LP Baron O'NEILL OF THE MAINE (1914-90, cadet of the barons O'NEILL) and his wife, a scion of the viscounts MELVILLE.
