An anonymous correspondent tells me that Jean Marie, Lady Barber (b. 1920), the widow of Sir William Francis Barber (1905-95), 3rd bt., of Lamb Close House, Eastwood (Notts), has recently died, but I can find no confirmation of this. Can anyone confirm the details?

Odd that she hadn't appeared in DPB as "widow living of the Second Baronet".  She was clearly alive in 1920 when she was congratulated on her 100th Birthday by the British Simmental cattle twitter page (9 Sept 2020) -

CONGRATS TO JEAN LADY BARBER ON A VERY ‘SPECIAL’ BIRTHDAY! extends warm birthday wishes to Jean Lady Barber, Lambclose herd, Greasley Estate, Notts who celebrated her 100th birthday on 6th September. We trust Lady Barber enjoyed her ‘special’ day! #Simmental

perhaps the cattle people might tweet about her death

I meant (of course) 2020 not 1920
