She was d of (Cecil) Vere DAVIDGE 1901-81 sometime head of that gentry family of Little Houghton and his 1^st w Ursula Catherine 1898-1948 d of Christopher SMYTH 1851-1934 also sometime head of that gentry family of Little Houghton and Emma Louisa 1855-1933 d of Sir George William GUNNING 5^th Bt 1828-1904 and Isabella Mary Frances Charlotte 1831-1910 d of Lt-Col William CHESTER MASTER 1785-1868 sometime head of that gentry family of The Abbey and Isabel Margaret DIGBY 1794-1860 (gd of 5^th Baron DIGBY 1661-1752 and gt gd of 1^st Earl of GAINSBOROUGH 1781-1866 etc) (Lady Gunning was also 3xgt gd of 3^rd Earl of BRIDGEWATER 1646-1701 and of 1^st Earl of PORTLAND 1694-1709 (f of 1^st Duke of PORTLAND 1682-1726), etc etc). She m 1963 William Ernest Broadbent 1931-2020 s of Maj (Ernest) Henry Broadbent USHER MC 1892-1942 of Amesbury, Wilts by his 26 March 1925 m (St Mark’s, North Audley St) to Gertrude Lynette GRIFFITHS 1894-1988, and had a dau as above.
