The 1661 Milbanke Baronetcy has been dormant since 1949.

It is likely that all male-line descendants of the first three sons of the first Baronet are extinct, though I cannot tell whether that has actually been established.

The current Milbank Baronets (created 1882), descended from the fourth son of the first Baronet, are thus likely the rightful heirs to the 1661 Baronetcy, but only if they descend ina legitimate line.

The question is, was William Milbank, of Thorp Perrow (1768-1802), the legitimate son of his father, Mark?

Does anyone have any information which would shed light on who was his mother, and whether she was married to his father?

See the genealogy below, in which I have omitted those persons irrelevant to the current succession.
