From the Telegraph of 25 Jan 2025: COOKSON Diana (née Lacy) died peacefully on 5th January 2025 aged 96. Much loved mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be greatly missed by her many friends and family. Her Memorial Service will be held at St Mary's, Sutton Valance on 14th February at 12 noon.

She was d of Cdr Alexander Dacre LACY 1894-1969 and Katherine Margaret Anne 1902-69 d of Adm Sir William Edmund GOODENOUGH GCB MVO 1867-1945 (gs of Rev Edmund GOODENOUGH 1785-1945 who was also gt gf of Sir William Macnamara GOODENOUGH 1^st Bt 1899-1951) and Hon Henrietta Margaret STANLEY 1874-1956 d of 4^th Baron SHEFFIELD 1839-1925 and Mary Katharine 1849-1929 d of Sir Isaac Lowthian BELL 1^st Bt 1816-1904 and Margaret PATTINSON d 1886. She m 1957 Ronald Frederick Stephen COOKSON, and had three sons.
