The engagement was announced 7 May 2015, between James J Frere-Scott, younger son of John Philip Henry Schomberg Scott, 13th of Gala (born 20 June, 1952), of Selkirkshire, Scotland, descended from the Marquesses of Lothian, by his wife the former Jacqueline Dawn Rae, & Lucinda C. Pearson, daughter of the late Capt Nigel Pearson, RN, and Mrs Tess Pearson, of Ash, Somerset.
