From the Telegraph and Times of 14 May 2019: THISTLETHWAYTE - John Robin. Passed away peacefully at home on the 10th May 2019 aged 83. Beloved husband of Mary, father of Mark, Hugo & Sophy and grandfather of nine grandchildren. A private family cremation will be followed by a memorial service at Southwick, Hampshire in due course.

He was s of Arthur Donald Claude Thomas THISTLETHWAYTE (1903-56), scion of the gentry family of that name, and Hon Gwladys Eileen BERRY (1908-55) d of 1st & last Baron BUCKLAND (1877-1928) and Gwladys Mary SANDBROOK (1884-1971). He m 1964 Mary Katherine (b 1937) d Lt-Gen Sir (Arthur) Edward GRASETT KBE CB DSO MC (1888-1971) and Joan Mary FOSTER (1899-1982), and had two sons (Mark Edward (b 1964 reg Q4 Oxfordshire) and Hugo Seymour (b 1967 reg Q1 London)) and a dau (Sophia Mary C (b 1972 reg Q1 Oxfordshire)) as above.
