From the Telegraph of 5 Aug 2022: TOLLEMACHE Lady Mary Joscelyne (née Whitbread) died peacefully at home on 27th July aged 88. Much loved wife of Lyonel, loving mother of Katheryne, Thomas (deceased), Richard and Henrietta and grandmother of Alice, James, Harry, Libby and Annabel. Funeral Service to take place at St John the Baptist, Buckminster on Tuesday 23rd August 2022 at 2 p.m. No flowers by request, but donations if so desired for Cancer Research UK may be sent to Robert Holland Funeral Directors, 14 St Catherine’s Road, Grantham...
She was d of Col William Henry WHITBREAD TD 1900-94 scion of that gentry family f/o Southill and of the CHICHESTER & CARDIGAN earls and LEEDS dukes etc, and his 1st wife & 1st cousin (both grandchildren of Samuel WHITBREAD 1830-1915) Anne Joscelyne WHITBREAD 1906-36. She m 1960 Maj Sir Lyonel Humphry John TOLLEMACHE 7th Bt 1931-2020 s of Maj-Gen Sir Humphry Thomas TOLLEMACHE 6th Bt CB CBE 1897-1990 and Nora Priscilla 1900-90 d of John TAYLOR 1858- by his 1897 m reg Q1 Bengal, India to Eliza Mary CHASE 1877-, and had two sons (the yr only surv. son is the present 8th Bt) and two daus.
